A delegation from the Subcommittee on Security and Defense of the European Parliament will be in Armenia, from Monday to Thursday, informed the Press and Information Officer of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia.
The purpose of the visit of these MPs is to assess the security situation in Armenia, the progress of the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as to get familiarized with the activities of the civilian European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) deployed since February in Armenia to monitor and report on the security situation along the Armenian side of the international border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
During the visit of the aforesaid European Parliament delegation, meetings are planned with the members of the Armenian government and parliament, as well as with the ambassadors of the EU member countries to Armenia.
