In the captured Mariupol district, an increase in the contingent of the Russian military is recorded – a column of at least 15 units of tracked vehicles, which was moving in the direction of Zaporizhzhia, entered.

As Ukrinform reports, Petro Andryushchenko, adviser to the Mariupol city mayor, reported this in  Telegram  .

“The Russian forces are gathering again in the Mariupol district. Column after column. Today, a convoy of at least 15 units of tracked vehicles is moving from the direction of Novoazovsk through the city to Zaporizhzhia,” he wrote.

Andryushchenko noted that the invaders also recorded a minor transfer of ammunition and equipment along the Donetsk highway to Mariupol.

“In general, the military contingent is growing again. This time, the equipment is mostly fresh, and not taken out of conservation,” the mayor’s adviser clarified.

As reported, Russia’s aggression caused one of the biggest humanitarian disasters in Mariupol. The city was almost 90% destroyed as a result of enemy shelling.

Currently, more than 100,000 residents remain in the blocked city.

The invaders are turning Mariupol and the surrounding villages into a military-logistics hub for the Russian army.

Since the 20s of February of this year, “cotton” often flies into the city, explosions are heard, local residents report hitting Russian military ammunition depots and enemy military equipment. These explosions prove that distant enemy targets are no longer beyond the reach of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

In Mariupol and outside the city, the invaders have established checkpoints on all bridges, are digging trenches near them and carrying out mines.
