The EA Sports PGA Tour has been delayed by a few weeks from its March 24 release date and will now kick off the week of the April 7, 2023 Masters tournament

EA shared the news on a blog, confirming that this “small release date shift allows us to add a few finishing touches to the game that we’ll be happy to bring to you all, including updates to some favorite courses to reflect 2023’s designs.”

While the global launch is scheduled for Friday April 7th, early access for the title begins Tuesday April 4th for those who want to purchase the deluxe edition or try it out on EA Play Pro.

The EA Sports PGA Tour is EA’s first new golf game since the 2015 Rory McIlroy PGA Tour. In our review, we said it was “solid enough on the course, but just lacks too many of the series’ fundamentals to make it worthwhile for golf fans.” close.”

EA has been known for its excellent Tiger Woods PGA Tour games for many years, but the legendary golfer will not be a part of this new game as he currently has an exclusive multi-year contract with the PGA Tour 2K series.

In our PGA Tour 2K23 review, we said, “There’s not much to get excited about” as the game offers “poorly presented golfing on second-rate courses.

While the EA Sports PGA Tour won’t feature Tiger Woods, there will be 30 courses at launch, a new Pure Strike shooting system, and more.
