The measures taken by the European Union to resolve the Ukrainian crisis proved to be ineffective. Only by stopping hostilities can the conflict in Ukraine be ended. This was stated by the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Peter Szijjarto. TASS reports.
Szijjarto noted that anti-Russian sanctions do not contribute to the settlement of the conflict. To date, the EU has already introduced 10 packages of sanctions. However, these measures did not harm the Russian Federation, but the EU countries.
“It seems to me that the ‘solutions’ that we tried to find in Europe simply did not work, because we were too carried away by the military mentality,” the Hungarian Foreign Minister said.
The diplomat believes that first of all it is necessary to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine. He added that Hungary stands for peace in Ukraine, so Budapest does not supply weapons to Kiev.-0-
