The Poland women’s volleyball team triumphed over France on Wednesday, winning in straight sets 25-21, 30-28, 25-11, during a friendly match in Radom.
Olivia Rozanski and Magdalena Stysiak led the Polish team to a significant victory, each contributing eight points. On the French side, Halimatou Bah matched their effort with eight points of her own, becoming France’s highest scorer.
The match began with a neck-and-neck competition, but before long, the visiting team escalated the pace, securing a 14-9 lead on the scoreboard. Poland, under the coaching of Stefano Lavarini, retaliated effectively, leaving France unable to handle the powerful serves delivered by Agnieszka Korneluk and Rozanski.
Poland claimed the first set with a 25-21 score. They then maintained the momentum, securing the second set at 30-28. In the final set, they limited France to a mere 11 points.
Currently, the Polish team is in the final stage of preparing for the Volleyball Nations League. On Tuesday, they are slated to compete against Canada in their first match of the tournament.
