Today we stand in solidarity with the Armenian people. The largest European party, the European People’s Party (EPP), which in 2015 formally recognized the Armenian Genocide, noted this on Twitter Monday, on the 108th anniversary of this tragedy.
“It’s our duty to preserve their memory with dignity, and strive for justice. We urge Turkey to acknowledge the reality of the past and take steps towards genuine reconciliation, paving the way for a peaceful future,” the EPP added.
