From the very beginning, the civilian European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) is fully transparent about its plan to operate from six hubs, with maximum 103 international staff. The aforesaid mission notedthis on Twitter.
“We aim to reach this full operability soon. EUMA is an unarmed civilian mission launched in response to request by Armenian gov[ernmen]t,” the mission added.
The official representative of the Russian foreign ministry, Mari Zakharova, on Wednesday answering the question about the opening of three more EUMA operational centers, had said that the increase in the number of EU “monitoring” bases in Armenia has nothing to do with the task of establishing stability and peace in relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to her, the EU members acted extremely non-transparently from the beginning.
