The Russians are considering the possibility of producing Shahed kamikaze drones in Belarus. To do this, Iranian engineers visited Belarus on a business trip, the Center for National Resistance reports with reference to the Belarusian underground.

It is noted that the invaders want to establish the production of Iranian UAVs in Belarus.

For this, the Russian Federal Security Service and the Belarusian State Security Committee organized a business trip for Iranian engineers.

During a visit to the Gomel Radio Plant, the possibility of “systemic establishment of the production of kamikaze drones” was discussed, the Center writes.

Earlier, the Belarusian underground reported that drones were being completed on the basis of the Gomel radio factory.

The CNS notes that this development indicates that Russia “continues to extend its control over the defense sector of Belarus.”

If the Russian Federation launches a full-fledged production of “shaheeds” in Belarus, then it will be able to solve the logistical problems of transporting drones from Iran.

  • On the night of May 4, 2023, the Russian Federation attacked Odessa with 15 kamikaze drones, three of them hit hostel buildings, the rest were shot down by the Air Defense Forces.
  • On the night of May 8, 2023, Kiev was attacked by 35 Shahed-136 kamikaze drones, all drones were destroyed by air defense.
